The Philippine Radiation Oncology Society (PROS), a subspecialty under the umbrella of the Philippine College of Radiology (PCR), was formally organized in 1988. It is an organization of Filipino Radiation Oncologists who have the special expertise in cancer treatment through the therapeutic applications of ionizing radiation. The team is basically composed of Radiation Oncologists, Medical Physicists and Radiation Tehnologists who work together in delivering the most precise management in the field of medicine.

To date, there are 23 radiotherapy facilities all over the country with seven of which are also training institutions.
