The Department of Radiation Oncology is dedicated to promoting health and wellness through expert and compassionate clinical care. The 4 year residency program offer rich educational opportunities in an academic medical center dedicated to cancer research, patient care, and education. Multidisciplinary clinics and conferences including cancer consultation network offer collaborative decision-making experiences. Located on the ground floor of St Luke’s Medical Center Main Building, the Department provides radiation therapy to both inpatients and outpatients on weekdays and on an emergency basis on weekend. The Department is an integral part of the St Luke’s Cancer Institute. As an international affiliate of the Memorial-Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, residents and graduates participate in a world-class medical and scientific community. The Department of Radiation Oncology in cooperation with the Research and Biotechnology Division conducts clinical researches that focus on ways to more effectively and safely treat tumors with radiation. St Luke’s Medical Center is the training institution in the Philippines accredited thrice by the Joint Commission International (JCI) and the Department of Radiation Oncology was audited by an international team of experts from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Quality Assurance Team in Radiation Oncology (QUATRO).
