As part of a comprehensive approach to quality assurance in the treatment of cancer radiation, an independent external audit (peer review) is important to ensure adequate quality of practice and delivery of treatment.

In response on the recently concluded IAEA/RCA Regional Training Course on Quality Audits in Radiation Oncology (QUATRO) last October 13-17, 2008 held at the Dr. Cipto Mangunkusumo National General Hospital, Jakarta, Indonesia, our society held its 2010 Annual Convention regarding this matter last February 17-18, 2010 at the Oceana Events Place in Pasay City. The Philippine team then were Dr. Teresa T. Sy Ortin, Radiation Oncologist, Lilian Rodriguez, MSc Medical Physicist and Cesar Abando, Radiation Therapist.
